St Mark’s and St Swithun’s Churches form the Benefice of Purley in the Church of England, led by our Vicar, Rev’d Fiona Weaver.

Our main Sunday services are 9.15am at St Mark's and 11.00am at St Swithun's.

Each church retains its own identity while working together as one. In both churches you will find a friendly congregation drawn mainly from the local community who attend services and social activities across the two.

St Mark's Church

We are active in our neighbourhoods and welcoming to all who wish to worship with us. We invite you to join us as we explore our Christian faith together.

St Swithun's Church

Both churches have a garden of remembrance for quiet reflection and contemplation, offering a peaceful setting to remember loved ones and find comfort.

St Mark's Church is open Tuesday-Saturday 9.00am-4.00pm and Sunday 11.00am-4.00pm for private prayer and reflection and for those who wish to experience the peace and beauty of the church.

Safeguarding The Parishes of St Swithun and St Mark take the safeguarding and care of children and vulnerable adults very seriously. Both of our churches abide by the Southwark Diocese Safeguarding policy. Click here for more details.
