Google Calendar

Notes:
Julian recommends that we should have a standard calendar we can view within the website, but manage externally.

I've started experimenting with Google Calendar.
But I've never used Google Calendar or anything similar before.

I think to get the website up and running I'll simply repeat (and expand upon) the information from The Uplander 'Dates for Your Diary' page.  Then we can assess/learn how to operate an external calendar.

A Google Calendar can be embedded.
I assume we can set it up so that other people can add or change services and events if necessary.

But I'm not keen on the appearance.  When I've seen these calendars on other church sites, I've always thought that it's not a good way to display special events and services because they are 'lost' within the endlessly repeating weekly services. (I don't think it makes much difference if the default view is monthly instead of schedule).
