Our prayers lay the track down which God’s power can come.  His power is irresistible, but it cannot reach us without the rails.  Let us all come together as a congregation and friends to pray continually for our parishes and to reflect God’s glory.

The Prayer Group continues to meet every Thursday afternoon at a parishioner's home near St Mark's Church, praying for our Churches and our community.  Our meetings are based on what is happening currently in these areas.  We are presently looking at ways that our congregations can come together in prayer, especially when we look towards the future of our Benefice and how it is to grow.  We are also considering ways in which we can reach out and pray for people in our parishes who are in need.

We have an introductory opening prayer and then a reading from the Bible upon which we reflect and discuss.  We then bring all our concerns together in intercession and finish with a closing prayer to send us out in the world.  We have occasionally brought a piece of music each week, on which to reflect, and hope to develop this more in the future.
